Is it possible to accept calls having a zero balance?

You can still answer the phone calls even with a zero balance. This option is possible only for the countries where incoming calls are generally not charged.

How do I make calls from a Simtravel SIM card?

What are the rates for calls from Kyrgyzstan to a Simtravel card?
The incoming call will be charged according to standard rates for mobile phone calls in Kyrgyzstan.
How do I consider the call rates described on the website?
There are two types of calls: incoming and outgoing:
The incoming call will be charged according to the standard incoming call rate of the country your are in when taking the call, regardless the country the call is coming from.
The outgoing calls you are making from abroad will be charged according to the incoming call rate of the country you are in, regardless of the country you will be calling to.
All rates described on the website are in US dollars, all taxes are included. The connection charge is not included.
How do I activate my SIM card?
SIM-card is activated automatically at the moment of registration in the network of cellular communication operator, regardless of whether it is done in Kyrgyzstan or abroad. Once the card is activated, the starting balance will be credited to your account. If there is no balance on your card for a while, get in touch with the Simtravel Customer Support at +996 (312)89-99-99.
How much does the call from one number of SIMTRAVEL to another number of SIMTRAVEL cost?
The charge for a call made from one Simtravel SIM card to another is $0.25/min. This rate works for 135 countries — mostly those where incoming calls are free of charge. In other countries the rate for such call will be the same as the rate for a call to a Kyrgyz number. More information is available on the Rates page, section «Simtravel calls».
How much does a call to Customer Support cost when dialing from abroad?
A call to Customer Support at +996(312)89-99-99, made from abroad, will be free of charge during first 3 minutes of the conversation. After this period of time the call will be charged as a regular phone call made to a Kyrgyz number, according to the outgoing call rates of the country you are calling from. The number of calls to Customer Support is not limited.
Do I have to set up my phone to be able to use the Simtravel SIM card?
Most of the phones do not require any special settings prior to using the Simtravel SIM cards. Some models (Samsung, iPhone, Blackberry, Fly, Alcatel) do require to enter the so-called «compatibility code» first. In order to do this, go to phone settings, find the Simtravel SIM card settings section and enter the code 1101.
Can I recover the SIM card if I lost it?
The Simtravel number can be easily recovered in any company office.
Does the Simtravel SIM card work in Kyrgyzstan?
Simtravel SIM card works in all countries listed on the «Rates» page, including Kyrgyzstan.
How can I fill up the Simtravel SIM card ?
You can fill up the SIM card balance one of the following ways:
  1. Cash in on of the Simtravel offices;
  2. On the Simtravel webpage using your bank card;
  3. Through a payment terminal.
Can I fill up the SIM card before activating it?
The SIM card balance can be filled up before the card is activated. The total will be available on the activated card.
How much does the SIM card cost for a corporate client?
Corporate clients have the possibility to purchase the 1200 KGS pack that will include an unlimited amount of SIM cards registered to the same business.
What needs to be done to sign a corporate services agreement?
In order to become a corporate client, get in touch with one of the Simtravel representatives and provide your company's invoice information, and also fill the application form on our websitee www.simtavel.kg.
What is the minimum amount of SIM cards that needs to be purchased for the corporate pack?
The corporate pack requires at least 5 SIM cards.
What does roaming mean?
Roaming is a service that allows users make phone calls while abroad, connecting to mobile network operators of the countries they are in. The main benefit of roaming is that user does not have to sign new agreements with the mobile network operators and the charges for phone calls are applied to the user's existing account.
How does the GSM roaming work?
In order to be able to use the roaming services, the mobile network operators of the home country and of the visiting country have to have a respective agreement. The agreement is preceded by several testings, such as IREG and TADIG. The first testing checks if the connection is working fine and the second one ensures that the billing system is correct.

All operations made by the user while in roaming are recorded in a file called TAP (Transferred Account Procedure) for GSM/CIBER (Cellular Intercarrier Billing Exchange Roamer). The file is then transferred to the home network. The file contains details of the calls made by the user, which helps to calculate the amount the user is to pay to the home operator.
